These terms and conditions (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the Lahza website at lahza.net and the Lahza scan-to-pay and ordering service (together, the "Service"). By accessing the website or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
Lahza ("Lahza", "we", "us" or "our") provides a QR-based payment and ordering experience for hospitality venues and their guests. You can reach us at any time at support@lahza.net.
2. Using the Service
Guests use the Service by scanning a QR code provided at a participating venue to view a bill, split it, add an optional tip, and pay from their own device. Venues use the Service to accept payments and to view activity relating to their own location.
- You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide when placing an order or making a payment.
- You must not interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its underlying systems.
3. Payments
Payments made through the Service are processed by third-party payment providers. When you make a payment, you authorise the relevant provider to charge your selected payment method for the amount shown, including any tip you choose to add. Your bank or card issuer may apply its own terms to the transaction.
Bills, prices, and any applicable taxes or charges are set by the venue, not by Lahza. Questions about a specific charge should first be raised with the venue where the transaction took place.
4. Tips
Tips are optional. Where you choose to add a tip, it is applied to your payment and directed to the venue for distribution to staff in accordance with that venue's own policies.
5. Refunds and disputes
Refunds are handled by the venue that received the payment, subject to that venue's policies and applicable law. If you believe a payment was made in error, please contact the venue and, if needed, reach out to us at support@lahza.net so we can help facilitate a resolution.
6. Availability
We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend or modify the Service, in whole or in part, for maintenance, updates, or operational reasons.
7. Intellectual property
The Lahza name, logo, website, and software are owned by Lahza and its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use them except as necessary to use the Service as intended.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lahza will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon, and the courts of Lebanon will have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
